1. How are you与How do you do
二者都是见面时的问候语可翻译为你好但二者又有区别1前者是相互认识的两人的问候语而后者用在第一次见面时多用在第三者介绍之后。2前者的回答一般是Fine, thank you. And you?后者的回答是How do you do?如Tom: This is Jack and that is Mike. Mike: how do you do? Jack: How do you do?
2. Glad to see you.
该句是I’m glad to see you的简称，常用在第一次见面时。
3.Had better
“最好”的意思。其后只能接动词原形，不能接不定式和动名词。
如：The bus is too crowded and you’d better go there by bike.
4.What beautiful flowers!
该句是What beautiful flowers they are !的省略形式。注意what与how在感叹句中用法的区别二者均可引导感叹句但what修饰的是名词在该句中是非分明beautiful flowers而how只能修饰形容词如How beautiful the flowers are!
