主语从句
主语从句在句中作主语，它的位置与陈述句基本结构中的主语相同。
That china is great socialist country is well known.
众所周知，中国是一个社会主义国家。
Whether he will be able to come remains a question.
他是否来还是一个问题。
注意：除了宾语从句外，其他名词性从句都不能用从属连词“IF”
who did the job is unknown.
What he wants to tell us is not clear.
How and why Albert Einstein came to Princeton, New Jersey is a story of struggle, success and sadness.
爱因斯坦为什么及怎样来到新泽西的普林斯顿是一个充满着斗争、成功和悲哀的故事。
主语从句放在句首显得很笨重，因此，一般把它移动到句子的末尾，前面用引导词it作形式主语。如：
it is strange that she did not come yesterday.
It is still unknown who will win the match.
但主语从句如果是用连接代词WHAT，WHATEVER， WHOEVER等引导的，表示的是一个具体的东西或人，这种主语从句不能用引导词IT来替换。如：
what he said interested me greatly.
Whoever is tired may rest.
