问题1:
我在辅导书上看到关于condition的用法：
事物发展，进行的‘情况’英译时一般不能用condition.如: 演出的情况怎么样了? 误: What was the condition of the performance? 正:How did the performance go ? 或How was the performance?
但我在网站里看到一个例句:What are conditions like in your country? 你们国家的情形如何？我觉得这里的情形也有进行的意思(你们的国家现在发展的怎么样), 那么这样用合理吗?
还有一句:Our crop is in good condition.
我们的农作物长势良好。(这句也是进行的意思)
另外这本书还提到:一般汉语里的某一具体事件的"情况" ,也不能用condition.
并举例:误:This is a condition which I didn't foresee ,and therefore failed to provide for it.正:This is something I didn't foresee ,and therefore failed to provide for it.(我们应该把这情况反映给党支部)
但我在网站上看到说:condition表示“情况，环境”时多用复数。当我们表示'具体'的工作、生活、居住“环境”“条件”时，用condition。
Their working conditions must be improved. 他们的工资、工作条件必须改进。(特指具体的工作情况)
The house is very old ,in bad condition.(指具体的居住状况)
这又怎么解释? 难道是这样理解: 正:This is something I didn't foresee ,and therefore failed to provide for it.(我们应该把这情况反映给党支部)
这里指的是特指的一件具体事件. 而The house is very old ,in bad condition.这里的'状况'是泛泛的房屋的情况,泛指'门,窗,墙等等好多情况'?

问题2: condition什么时候可数什么时候不可数?什么时候用单数什么时候用复数?
比如:1>The house is very old ,in bad condition.这里的condition可以用复数吗?(难道in +adj+ condition单数 是固定搭配?)
2>The Weather conditions were good for flying. 这里的condition可以用单数吗?
3>What are conditions like in your country? 这里的are conditions 可以用is condition吗?


问题3:contidion 与situation都当'情况,状况'讲时有什么区别?
比如:
1>synoptic situation 天气形势
2>How do you analyze the present economic situation?
3>What are conditions like in your country?
4>Our crop is in good condition.
上述几句的contidion 与situation可以互换吗?如果不可以请说明为什么,如果可以请说明互换后有何不同?
