PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THE MUSIC
The heavy box containing a cello looked like a coffin. I was pushing it and going to a chokey where the youth could be helped by philanthropists.
The nun Jane Harrise took charge of appointing the work from which you can't get any paycheck. She asked me to perform on the cello for the young criminals accused of either murdering or holding arms to rob or fight. They were waiting for the official inquest. The nun knew I liked playing the cello, so she invited me to play it for them.
I walked past the fraise enclosure, and came in front of a small building with a cross on its roof top. A man with glasses took in me. I told him why I came here. He looked for when my performance was. In a minute, he showed me the programme list, and said "It's your turn next."
After he left, I opened the door simply to know what sence it looked. I saw a pretty girl dancing with the music on the stage She wore skintight Jean and pink blouse with her umbilicus discovering. On seeing her dancing, I thought she wasn't good at dancing. But the young criminals looked exciting and happily. They all lost themselves in watching the fascinating dancer's look, but no her skill in dancing.
I closed the door. I was sadly sitting in the prist's chair when a sound broke up from my back.
"Excuse me."
I had a look over my shoulder. It was Jane Harrise. I told her "I don't think it is a good idea for me to act here."
"Why not?"
"You can have a look at what is happening. They are very excited and happy because of the girl who was wearing Bikini. It is sure that they don't enjoy my playing on the cello."
The nun asked "Is there any girl wearing Bikini?" "It is nearly. But I think they don't like me."
Then the nun encouraged me to be brave.
When I was at the centre of stage, I was a little nervous. After I introduced the cello to them from its top to the foot, I told them I wanted to play the Swan composed by Sansong for them. I also told them when I was playing the music, it always reminded me to think of my mother.
I started playing. The music was very beautiful. The sound made by the strings and a bow poppled in the anditorium. I lost myself in playing completely. But at that time a little sound was from under the stage. " My god" I said to myself "I am right. It is impossible to let the young criminals to listen to music quietly"
The sound got louder and louder. But it didn't seem like the noise the discontented audiences made. I couldn't help throwing a squint down the stage. To my surprise, all the boys were tearing.
The sound they made sounded very wonderful to any musicion. I played the music left harder. I thought it was one of the best praises for me to play the cello. When I finished playing they clapped enthusiastically. The clapping lasted gor a few minutes. The sense was simply like a dream for a common cellist.
Then I played a tune in Baha's cento. The boys clapped again and again. One of them cried: "Please play the tune for mothers oncae more" All of them acclaimed with it. I played the Swan again. Then I played some tunes composed by Baha. Then I played the Swan for a third time.
Finishing playing all the tunes, when I heard prisoners cheering enthusiastically and clapping hard I realized it was not only the music but also the feeling of remembering their relation moved them deeply.

The passage is translated by me from Chinese into English. It is from a magazine. But I am afraid there are lots of mistakes in it. So I ask for help. If you can find any mistake please correct it. Thank you from my heart.
